Chatlog from Online Mysterium
Online Mysterium has come and gone, and I’d say it was pretty successful. The full log of the event can be read here! Any follow-up questions can be posted as comments here, and I (or another member of the team) will do my best to answer them.

Your commits twitter is still dead. Is there any way for us to see more detailed updates next to this website?
May 22nd, 2012 at 11:35 am
We’re looking into new ways by which we can let y’all know the latest thing that we’re working on.
May 22nd, 2012 at 11:25 am
I didn’t even know there used to be a commits feed. Where is it at?
May 22nd, 2012 at 11:34 am
The feed used to be at @SECommits, but the SVN hook broke a long time ago.

I see. Ah well, looking forward to seeing what new ways of updating us you guys will come up with 🙂 I also just finished reading the log – some great questions and great answers! Thanks.

Considering that the prison island is nearly complete, is there any chance we could maybe get a shot of the island at sunset? Or at night? Or both? 🙂
It would make quite a fantastic wallpaper if you made it available!

Is there something work in progress ?

Mysterium is coming up on August 3rd, I believe. We will be doing a presentation there showing our latest work, and you can tune in via LiveStream.

So… Have you guys thought at all about doing a Kickstarter?
June 20th, 2012 at 1:40 pm
quote from the log: “expect a dev blog post about that soon”
lots of time later, still no dev post…
cmon guys, those dev posts are interesting 😀

“One project that seems logical on the surface would be realRiven, but that won’t happen anytime soon .We would love to see it too, but Riven is massive, and converting it to real-time 3D would take years of work.†—Rand, http://www.modojo.com/features/realmyst_interview_with_cyan_worlds

Tee hee 😀
July 3rd, 2012 at 2:23 am
It’s all gone very quiet! Any more that can be shared on the development front? The last post was really interesting.
July 22nd, 2012 at 5:21 pm
Will be adding any new easter eggs? Like how RealMyst had Ti’ana’s grave?
July 27th, 2012 at 10:06 pm
‘ello? I check back every so often and I haven’t seen anything posted as of late. Did you break the website or something? 😛

Will the beta only work with URU installed on a Macintosh computer?

Our game doesn’t rely on Uru at all anymore – it’s entirely separate. Uru is a pretty good benchmark though, if you’re trying to figure out what kind of computer will run our game. If it can run Uru, it can *probably* run our game, at some level.
July 30th, 2012 at 1:39 pm
Sweet I’m so happy its just a standalone application. My computer is pretty powerful so I’m pretty sure that it will be able to run riven in realtime 3d
July 30th, 2012 at 1:40 pm
But I do have another question. Is it true that not everybody that signs up for the beta will be able to participate in beta testing?
July 30th, 2012 at 1:43 pm
We have not yet finalized our plans for the beta test program, so I can’t really say whether or not everybody will get in. That being said, in a perfect world, everybody would get to help out at least a little bit – the more testers, the better.

Ok cool, thanks
August 2nd, 2012 at 2:17 pm
Are you going to make age 234 “explorable”?
August 2nd, 2012 at 2:18 pm
And how are you going to do the characters? 3D modeling, or different actors?
August 2nd, 2012 at 5:55 pm
As of right now, the plan is 3D (modeled) actors synced to the original audio.

Cool
